Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Oz is a Turkish-American cardiothoracic surgeon and author. He is now a well known famous personality since his frequent appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, as well as appearances on Larry King, CNN, and other networks. And now he has his own show called, “The Dr Oz Show”. So here I am with his holiday diet tips.

- The first and foremost tip that this well known doctor gave was to carry your own single dish whenever you go to a party. At least you’ll be sure of one healthy dish which you can snack and rely on.
- The second most important tip is to survey all the items first. He says that instead of plunging the very first item you see be patient and have a look at all the available options. For e.g. If the finger sandwiches are sopping in mayo, just gobble the meat stuffing and not the bread.
- The third tip is to always look out for replacements. If you want to eat something drenching than eat it with some raw veggies or salad instead of the salty French fries which aggravate your hunger.
- The fourth tip is to choose a seat which is away from the food counters. Less the food you see less will be your temptation to eat it.
- And the last and the final tip is to keep your one hand engaged. If your one hand is occupied in carrying some stuff than you will pick up less eating stuff.
