If you are growing overweight day by day then the probability of finding high levels of sugar in your blood will not be an unusual thing. That means you have high risks for being a diabetic patient. A person generally develops high blood sugar mainly when you intake high calorie food. Due to increase in the insulin and in the blood sugar level the food that you intake gets digested quite faster and that definitely affects your body weight. Therefore, you should must opt for the Glycemic Index (GI) Diet as this diet will show you the right way and the right type of foods that you should eat.

This diet has, in fact, divided three type of foods and have symbolized these through the tricolors of the traffic light. For foods those are very low in calorie and which can help one in loosing weight are symbolized by the green color. This section comprises of foods like wholegrains, pasta, noodles, Basmati rice, quinoa, fruits and vegetables. The yellow color is for those foods that many not be very low in calorie but also will not lead to weight gain and the red color represent foods that are very high in calorie and are high GI foods.

At the very outset, you will have to be a strict follower of the first phase and will have to go for the low GI foods only. It is only after you reach the desired goal, you can switch to the second phase. But here too you have to be very conscious and careful for your body weight. The GI diet is not about having fast or any kind compromise in the quality of the foods. In both these phases three meals a day and three snacks routine will have to be followed along with strict practice of exercises.

The only the Glycemic Index diet, in true sense, will help you out!
