Mel B’s Cold Water Diet

Recently the Scary Spice girl Mel B in one of her interviews spoke about her diet and weight loss. She said that she was not at all on diet nor did she ever count calories. She eats normal typical diet that includes fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. But to my surprise she said that she loses maximum of her weight by drinking cold water. So let’s see whether actually does this cold water diet works or not.

Mel B says that by drinking freezing water along with her meals she wrecks more calories as the body utilizes energy to heat up water during metabolism. Well the cold water diet is effective theoretically but practically it is effective at a very long run. So if you intake three glasses of cold water everyday then you can possibly lose 2-3 pounds of weight after a year.

So it’s better to focus on the diet that you eat for losing weight rather than going for a Cold Water Diet.
