Tossing and turning without sleep makes one frustrated. Yeah this happens most of the time with many people. You want to sleep but your mind does not let you do so. Follow Sleep Hygiene and sleep well to be healthy. It includes:
Sleeping when you feel sleepy! If you aren’t able to sleep till 20 mins of your lying on bed, indulge in something boring. You will ultimately fall asleep.
- Do not sleep during the day. If you feel like sleeping, just sleep for an hour before 3 pm.
- Do not break your sleeping schedule on weekends. If the sleep cycle has a regularity, you will feel good.
- If you do exercise, then the perfect timings are morning till afternoon. However, regular exercise is essential. You can do relaxation exercise before slweep.
- Say bye to products like caffeine, alcohol and nicotine for 4-6 hours before bed.
- Just munch something if your stomach is empty before sleep. You can take warm milk before going to bed.
- Eat before three hours of going to bed.
One should change the sleeping positions.
1) Lie on your back with body in mid-line position. Avoid using a flat pillow.
2) Place pillow between legs while lying side ways. While sleeping on back, pillow should be placed under legs.
3) Do not sleep on stomach. And if you do, then place one arm under pillow.
