Yogasana plays a vital role in our life. In this fast moving era, yoga gives serenity to your agitated mind and body. Here are yogasanas to help you digest your food better.

Sarvangasana factually means exercise for each part of the body. Below is the method given for doing a sarvangasana.

  • Lie on your backside down on a mat.
  • Exhale and raise your legs griped by both hands stretching them up till around 130 degrees.
  • Try bringing your jaw in the vicinity of your torso.
  • hold your body as high up as possible. The asana is a shoulder stand, so your shoulder has to lift your body and not your back.
  • Continue this for one minute and then extending it up to 5 minutes once you get used to the asana.

Paschimottanasana

Paschimottanasana

Paschimottanasana is asana increases appetite, decreases stoutness and cures diseases. The correct asana technique is given below.

  • Sit on the floor with your buttocks rested on a mat and legs stretched out.
  • Lift your arms and stretch your back towards the toes.
  • Rest your skull on your lap towards the knees. This position is ideal for patients suffering from back ache and for youngsters this position helps them grow taller.
  • Both the above mentioned asanas help in digestion
